$0.00

This is part 1 (of 4) of a whole day seminar.

Following on from the ABC 1 which introduced to the Attachment-based Developmental paradigm, based on the work of Dr Gordon Neufeld (2004,) ABC 2 we will be examining how this approach can be applied to working with clients who struggle with depression.

To get the most out of it, starting with ABC 1 will lay the foundations for understanding this material.

The regular price for the whole seminar is $149.00 but you can listen to the first part for FREE and if you like the rest then go back onto my website to see what else is on offer.

What material does the full seminar cover?

We will look at how our clients may struggle with the process of adaptation and so, by default, their frustration may be expressed as aggression (whether that be directed at the self – bullying self-talk, self-injurious behaviour, self-blame/helplessness/powerlessness, or directed at the other- attacking verbally, physically, emotional abuse and impotent rage). In this context we will explore the gift of tears of futility leading to adaption, and the gift of mixed emotions (which involves the integrative function of the pre-frontal cortex) and being at psychological rest for the neo-cortex and executive functioning to come ‘back on line’.

Neufeld’s 5-step model of working with emotions to process frustration healthily, will be presented so counsellors can help their clients embrace their vulnerability and develop adaptive functioning in their prefrontal cortex.

This seminar is the second part of a series, which systematically outlines the principles of the Attachment-based Developmental Paradigm (Neufeld) which I have adapted into Attachment-based Counselling model, applying the key principles to therapy (mainly with adults but it has huge application to working with children). So in order for you to gain the most out of this training it is best that you watch the series from the introduction ABC 1 and then watch this video.

Who is this seminar for?

This seminar is for counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, anyone working in mental health who wants to understand the dynamics of depression from an attachment based developmental paradigm.
